VIDEO TESTIMONIALS ABOUT WOVOCON

An UNconference, like the WOVOCON Voiceover Unconference, differs from a regular conference in that the WOVOCON agenda is created by all the voice talents who attend. At WOVOCON, attendees shape the weekend’s schedule and present voiceover-specific content based on the interests of everyone in attendance.

Why is that so much more valuable?

Instead of having a very small group set the agenda months in advance, WOVOCON gathers input from all our professional voice talent attendees on the first day. This ensures that WOVOCON sessions focus on the most relevant and current voiceover topics, whether it’s about performance, technology, or business.

Attendees can volunteer to present, join panel discussions, or participate in workshops, while informal networking and hallway discussions add further value. Also, if you’re more comfortable just learning, asking questions and networking, that’s ok too! Presenting is not mandatory.

Importantly, what happens at the WOVOCON Voiceover Unconference, stays there. Because participants are sharing their valuable and sometimes confidential business experiences and knowledge, we respect that sensitivity by forbidding any video or audio recording of any sessions at WOVOCON. To learn from us, you must be with us.

THE VALUE OF AN UNCONFERENCE!!

The WOVOCON Voiceover Unconference creates intimate settings for a small group (we cap our attendance at about 120 people) which immediately encourages peer-to-peer sharing in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, regardless of experience levels.

Chances are very good that if you have a question or issue regarding any aspect of your voiceover business, someone else either shares that concern AND someone else likely has some good, practical advice on how to resolve it.

Everyone at the WOVOCON Voiceover Unconference participates equally, with less emphasis on “formal” presentations and more emphasis on spontaneous knowledge exchange and sharing. This approach fosters new friendships and lasting connections.

At World Voices, we believe this style of conferencing is ideal for the voiceover community.
